I actually met Randy of FiveSprockets through craigslist.  As it turns out, Randy, Dave, and team have been building a software infrastructure to support the film community.  It's a pretty impressive venture they've undertaken and the software will cover all areas of a film production, from writing, scripting, casting, product placement, cinematography... etc.  The list goes on for quite some time the deeper you look.

Besides the technical abilities their web based production package provides, of particular note is the social networking ability.  Think of yourself in the industry, constantly working on your next screenplay, and while you're working you have the option to highlight an item that could be used for product placement, or search for an actual actor who fits the description of a character you just typed in.

Randy and Dave have been seriously wonderful to work with.  Our role in the project was front end redesign.  The back end is in JAVA for some parts and a standard Drupal installation for others.  We went right to work giving FiveSprockets a design overhaul.  The site is currently a working work in progress, as any good website or any good software package.  Go ahead and sign up for a freebie.  Thanks again for choosing us!
